Confessions of a Sawdust-Covered Startup (and Why We're Okay With It...For Now!)
Share
Hey everyone! We've got something to confess. It's not a big secret, but it's definitely a "thing" around here. We're a small business, a true startup, and that means we're working with the resources we have. And right now, our dust collection situation? Well, let's just say it's a work in progress.
Being a small business means our tool budget is also, shall we say, "cozy." We're making amazing, high-quality products, but let's be honest, things get a little…dusty. If you've ever worked with wood, you know the culprit: sawdust. It's everywhere! On the floor, the tables, our clothes, in our hair…it even seems to float in the air like tiny, mischievous fairies.
We know there are fantastic dust collection systems out there – filters, vacuums, the whole nine yards. We dream of the day we can invest in a top-of-the-line setup. But for now, we're making do with what we've got.
Now, before you worry, we want to assure you: safety is our top priority! We're not taking any risks. We wear masks, keep our workspace as clean as possible, and we're experts with a broom, vacuum, and compressed air. We know how to stay safe.
But…there's definitely room for improvement. Wouldn't it be nice to enjoy lunch without leaving a sawdust-shaped butt imprint on the chair? (Okay, maybe that’s too much information, but it paints a picture, right?) The point is, we're leaving a trail of sawdust in places we'd rather not.
This blog post is a bit of a snapshot of where we are right now. We hope to look back on this time and laugh at our sawdust-covered selves. We know this isn't our final form! We're constantly growing and improving, and better dust collection is definitely on our roadmap. We're aiming for a future with cleaner air, cleaner clothes, and maybe even a sawdust-free sandwich.
So, there you have it – a little venting, a little planning, and a whole lot of honesty from a startup that's currently covered in sawdust but still creating products we love for you. Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for the next update!
