Trying out the Pinterest

Trying out the Pinterest

Hey everyone!

I'm diving into the world of Pinterest to give our store a little boost! I recently started a Pinterest account for Yup Crafts, and let me tell you, it's a bit of an adventure. I'm still figuring out all the ins and outs of the platform – there are so many buttons and options!

Right before Christmas, I got a message from Pinterest themselves, which was pretty exciting! They were super helpful and even set up a quick 30-minute Google Meet with me. The guy I talked to was really nice and gave me some great ideas about how Pinterest could work for Yup Crafts. They did suggest I start spending money on marketing right away, but I decided to hold off for now. It just doesn't feel right to start advertising when I don't have much content up yet. I wouldn't want anyone clicking on an ad and then landing on a nearly empty page – that would be a letdown!

So, I've been busy creating some pins using photos I already had and playing around with them in Canva. I know some people like to keep their "secrets" close to their chest, but that's not really my style. At Yup Crafts, we believe in being upfront and honest, and we hope you appreciate that! After spending way more time than I'd like to admit (learning curves, am I right?), I finally created and published a few pins that I'm pretty happy with. Now, I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to easily share that same content on our Facebook page too – which I literally just created today!

Okay, this post might be a little rambling, but hey, it's something! We're working hard to get things going and learn as we go. Thanks so much for reading and being part of the Yup Crafts journey!
